Matrix System Launches Social Media Campaign

Increasing Brand Awareness on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+ and LinkedIn

Massillon, OH – March 17, 2014 - Matrix System Automotive Finishes is excited about taking its ‘real time’ messages to audiences by launching multiple new social media channels on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, and Linked In. Matrix System has created these accounts to create more personalized relationships with its customers.

According to Laura Yerkey, Direct of Marketing, “The idea behind our social media campaign is to develop real-time customer insights, engage audiences and better understand our customers and the market. We want to help painters improve by providing tech tips, best demonstrated practices and FAQ’s in formats that are meaningful to them; like videos, images, and short posts. Our primary goal is to ENGAGE, ENLIGHTEN, and EDUCATE.”

Matrix System to Feature Artists 4 Education Silent Auction at SEMA Show

Walled Lake, MI – August 28, 2013 – Collision repair specialists, vehicle refinishers, shop owners, and automotive enthusiasts attending the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, NV have the opportunity to participate in the Artists 4 Education Silent Auction, hosted in the Matrix System booth #11025.

The mission of Artists 4 Education is to raise money through fundraising activities that involve the expert skills of the automotive industry’s top artists across the country. Additionally, with the participation of various industry partners such as SATA, Airbrush Action, Anest Iwata, Dedoes Industries, Dorn Color, Miller Electric, Finding Better Solutions, and Pro-Spray Finishes items were donated to help support the cause.

Custom painted items up for auction include: metal wall storage cabinets, spray guns, a rolling tool cart, vintage gumball and popcorn machines, hanging ‘hot rod’ shark, vintage gas can, motorcycle helmet, fireman’s helmet and pick axe, garage stools, metal trash can, longboard skateboards, surfboard, snowboard, bowling pins, tri-cycle, KitchenAid® stand mixer, and other various items. The All-Star Artist line-up consists of some of the best airbrushers and pinstripers in the industry: Nub, Steve DeMan, Mike Learn, Mitch Peacock, Ron "Flea" Fleenor, Bugs, Armando Serrano, Jeff Styles, Jonathan Pantaleon, Ryan Evans, Richard “Duke” Bobinac, Pat Paldino, James Kunzinger, Darryl Strader, Don Ruks, John Wargo, Mark Marion, Justin Nichols, Michael Maggard and Josh Bourassa to name a few.

David Brunori, President of Quest Automotive Products, explains that, “Our 1st annual Artists 4 Education campaign has been a huge success within the industry so far and is beginning to pick up speed as we head into SEMA. I have been reaching out to organizations that have benefited for many years from the PBE industry for additional support. It is our responsibility as industry participants to support the Collision Repair Education Foundation. The sole purpose of this endeavor is to raise awareness to the growing shortage of certified technicians entering into the collision repair industry – it is that simple. Matrix System Creates “Artists 4 Education” Campaign

David Brunori, President of Quest Automotive Products, explains that, “Our Artists 4 Education campaign was created with the sole purpose of raising awareness to the growing shortage of certified technicians entering into the collision repair industry. My team has reached out to custom artists across the country to participate in this unique project and with no surprise, the airbrush and pin striping community is bending over backwards to get involved!

Artists are uniting for the cause creating cool, custom pieces of artwork that will be auctioned off during the 2013 SEMA Show and the 2013 Woodward Dream Cruise event. All proceeds will be distributed to the Collision Repair Education Foundation, with a portion being donated to our local program in Michigan, the Oakland Schools Education Foundation” says Brunori.

HISTORY®’s American Restoration™ Series to Feature Matrix System

Walled Lake, MI – April 29, 2013 – Matrix System Automotive Finishes has been selected by History® Channel’s “American Restoration” as the primary paint supplier for season 4, which will feature the transformation and restoration of various vintage treasures.

AMERICAN RESTORATION is a reality TV show that features Rick Dale and his crew of loose screws at Rick’s Restorations in Las Vegas, Nevada, as they take rusty, beat-up items and restore them to their original glory. Whether it’s a giant gas pump from the 1940s or a Hopalong Cassidy bicycle from the 1950s, every restoration is a high-stakes business project where worthless rust is transformed into a valuable collectible. However, these restorations aren’t easy. Every project presents unique challenges for Rick and his team, who develop inventive processes to finish each job flawlessly and on time. From old gas carts to timeless slot machines, the items Rick restores are part of the fabric that makes up American culture. Things just aren’t made like they used to be, but at Rick’s Restorations, old becomes new again.

Matrix System Announces 2013 Award Winning Finishes Calendar Contest Winner

Walled Lake, MI – November 27, 2012 – Matrix System Automotive Finishes has concluded its 2013 “Award Winning Finishes” Calendar Contest. This year the competition included many remarkable entries and similar to years past, the vehicles were designed and painted by restoration, custom, and body shop painters nationwide.

This year, winners were judged based on finish quality, technical difficulty, design originality, and artistic merit. Twelve winners were selected with first place receiving $750 of Matrix System products and a featured spot inside the calendar.

The 2013 Calendar Winners include 1st Place Winner - Carl Casey of Casey Customs, Verona, MO for his 1956 Chevy Cadillac; 2nd Place Winner - Sam Shriver of Paintz by Sam, Plain City, OH, for his 2008 Harley Davidson Street Glide; and 3rd Place Winner - Mark Stoecker, West Melbourne, FL for his 1932 Ford Coupe.

Matrix System Launches Its Video Tech Sheet Series on YouTube

Walled Lake, MI – August 8, 2012 – Matrix System Automotive Finishes is pleased to offer its Video Tech Sheet Series for product application and training purposes. At Matrix System the ultimate goal is to not just provide a better product, but to provide a product that is valuable to our distributors, end users, and field representatives. Walled Lake, MI – May 22, 2012 – Now professional vehicle refinishers everywhere will be able to mix RPB-LV Refinish Solutions Low V.O.C. Basecoat off of the existing Matrix System MPB-LV System.

This state-of-the-art technology consists of an entire line of toners and pearls that deliver 3.5 or lower V.O.C. emissions. The RPB-LV line offers customers exceptional hiding, with ease of application and use, and there is no need to upgrade shop equipment. RPB-LV was designed to target the “over-the-counter markets where cost matters; without having to discount the premium line. RPB-LV toners are mixed off of the same mixing bank and enable Jobbers to offer a secondary, compliant, lower cost product line to their customers by simply carrying one additional product, RPB-1000LV Low V.O.C. Basecoat Additive.

This revolutionary technology consists of an entire line of toners that deliver 3.5 or lower V.O.C. emissions. The Matrix Premium Low V.O.C. line offers customers exceptional hiding, with ease of application and use, and there is no need to upgrade shop equipment. MPB-LV sprays like other premium high V.O.C. solvent systems, which makes it hard to believe that it is low V.O.C. Additionally, MPB-LV utilizes the Matrix System Color Variant Selector System to ensure a great match every time.
